ANARCHY REIGNS™ Max Anarchy" is an Online Beat 'em up action combat video game developed by Platinum Games, published by Sega and is being produced by Atsushi lnaba and directed by Masaki Yamanaka, set in a post-apocalyptic future. It was released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on July 5, 2012 in Japan, but the planned simultaneous release in North America, Europe and Australia is said "to be confirmed" by Sega on May 25, 2012.On June 18, 2012, Sega confirmed via Twitter that the game will be released in North America and Europe in March 2013.  On October 19, 2012, Sega announced that Anarchy Reigns will be released in North America on January 8, 2013 and in Europe on January 11, 2013.

ANARCHY REIGNS™ is an online multiplayer brawler, from the makers of BAYONETTA™ and VANQUISH™, Platinum Game.

Set in the post-apocalyptic future, this is an over-the-top close combat fighting game, set in a massively open and fantastical world. Pick from an imaginative mix of human and cyborg characters and set out on a multiplayer challenge where anarchy reigns.

With a diverse range of multiplayer modes on offer, ANARCHY REIGNS pits players against each other in team co-op or last man standing battles.

Multiplayer mayhem
Creativity and violence are rewarded in this online brawler, as you battle to become the ultimate survivor. With over 8 different characters to choose from, each with their own unique style, weapon, and signature kill move, this is the ultimate survival of the fittest.

Various modes
ANARCHY REIGNS provides a variety of multiplayer modes to cater for different tastes. The list of modes includes Battle Royale, Death Match, Survival Mode and many more.

Single-player, two characters
Play either as Jack or Leo in the ultimate ‘survival of the fittest’. In true PlatinumGames form, each character brings a unique style and feel to the single-player Campaign mode, providing over 10 hours of gameplay.

Action trigger events
A.T.E. (Action Trigger Events) system triggers real-time events such as The Black Hole, a plane crash, blitz bombing etc to provide a constantly changing gameplay environment. No two matches will ever be the same.

An agent of the Chaser Guild who wields Gator Tooth, a retractable double chainsaw on his mechanical arm. In Milvallen, he is hired by Max's daughter, Jeannie, to find him.

Blacker Baron - Voiced by: Wataru Takagi (Japanese), Arif S. Kinchen (English)

A bounty hunter and a cocksure brawler at heart who delivers combat swagger lines with his "Super Sexy Fists of Fire".

Mathilda - Voiced by: Mari Malta (Japanese), Masasa Moyo (English)The Blacker Baron's assistant from MadWorld, who wields Iron Maiden, a spiked club.

Big Bull - Voiced by: Kenichiro Matsuda (Japanese), Rick D. Wasserma (English)

Previously seen in MadWorld as Big Bull Crocker. A cybrid (Cyborg, a robot with a human brain) with a large bull-like body and the self-proclaimed King of Altambra, who wields the Jet Hammer. Four years ago, Big Bull suffered a great injury, so he got rid of his body and moved his brain into a robot.

Rin Rin - Voiced by: Miyuki Sawashiro (Japanese), Stephanie Sheh (English)

Hong Long's clan member of the Crimson Dragons who uses two fiery bladed fans, Yanlong.

Leonhardt "Leo" Victorion - Voiced by: Hiroki Tōhi (Japanese), Jon Curry (English)

Jack's rival, and a agent of the Bureau's Strike One unit. He uses charged positron blades and seeks answers regarding Max, his mentor.

Sasha Ivanoff - Voiced by: Yū Asakawa (Japanese), Kim Mai Guest (English)

A female agent working with the Strike One unit who wields Snow Spikes, she either freezes opponents or they combine into a powerful ice blade. 

Durga - Voiced by: Takumi Yamazaki (Japanese), Sunil Malhotra (English)

A cyborg bounty hunter with a hunting fixation who uses a big cat-like style of martial arts with the Revolver Cannon on his robotic leg

Nikolai Dmitri Bulygin - Voiced by: Ryūzaburō Ōtomo (Japanese), Zach McGowan (English)

The intellectual leader of the Strike One unit with a villainous motive who wields Tesla coils (AKA Tesla Blitz) which grant him electrical powers.

Garuda - Voiced by: Chris Edgerly

Durga's partner and a transforming Jet-Plane mech that has flight capabilities, spinning attacks, and uses the Tornado Drill weapons to skewer enemies.

Zero - Voiced by: Kazuhiro Nakaya (Japanese), Yuri Lowenthal (English)

A cybernetic ninja and skilled practitioner of the Zero-Style Ninjutsu who wields dual katanas, Onimaru and Juzumaru. He has been fighting mutants and battling cyborgs in order to acquire data for the development of a new weapon for the drone army.

Edgar Oinkie - Voiced by: Taichi Setogawa (Japanese), Yuri Lowenthal (English)

Port Valenda's fat and heavy brawler and junk seller who uses his fists and a mutagen he calls "The Juice", which temporarily changes him into a reptilian beast, to deliver powerful blows in the blink of an eye.

Fei Rin - Voiced by: Hitomi Nabatame (Japanese), Stephanie Sheh (English)

Rin Rin's older sister who uses an ice bladed trident, Zilong.

Ai Rin - Voiced by: Chiaki Naitou (Japanese), Stephanie Sheh (English)
